The Internet Patrol is completely free, and reader-supported. And which, as you can see, Amazon now tells us has no songs in it. In fact, we’ve used Amazon Music Unlimited to create a most excellent dance mix playlist, which we wrote about several months ago. Now generally we love Amazon Music Unlimited, which was launched just about exactly a year ago. There is little that is more frustrating than to spend hours curating a playlist using Amazon Music or Amazon Music Unlimited, only to have it seem like everything has vanished, and you have to start all over again. I was able to play it directly from the Amazon music app, so it was in the app, but not syncing to the cloud.Have you experienced the frustration of building a playlist through the Amazon Music app, only to have dozens of songs disappear as your playlist either reverts back to a previous version, or disappears altogether and comes up with the playlist empty? You probably already tried searching the Amazon forums, only to discover that not only is there no relief, but that Amazon is shutting their forums down! We can’t help with the forums, but we can help with your missing music playlists! In fact, it’s likely not that the songs actually disappeared – it’s much more likely that the problem is the app. During the time it wasn't updating in the Sonos app, I was also not able to play my newest playlist via voice command to my Echo devices. In my case, it was stuck on a date about 2 weeks ago, and the music that I had to reload to my playlists was anything I added after that date. By the way, I had noticed when the problem started that the Refresh date in the settings app had stopped updating, even though I was clicking on the Refresh button to do the refresh after I added new music. There is apparently no way to clear the cache in the Amazon music app, so the only way to do this is to sign out and in again. The problem was apparently caused by something getting “stuck” on a prior Refresh in the music app. But they did still show up in the Recently added section of the Amazon music app, so I was able to use that list to add them back to my playlists. I did notice that the tracks I had most recently added to playlists were no longer on the playlists in the Amazon music app. Since then, it's been working normally, and anything I update in the Amazon music app is syncing to the cloud and shows up correctly in the Sonos app. ![]() At about 3/4 of the way through, it seemed to stop for several seconds, but right after that, the app opened up. There was a progress wheel, though, so I could see how far along it was. I've saved (bookmarked, but not downloaded) several thousand tracks, so when I signed in, it took several minutes to update. ![]() ![]() If that's your situation, you may want to contact Amazon customer service. I don't know if there's another option if you need to preserve downloaded tracks. Since I don't download anything, this wasn't a problem for me. ![]() NOTE: I was told that if you do this, it will delete any downloaded music. The solution was to sign out of the Amazon music app, and then sign back in. I had this same problem a few days ago, called Amazon customer service, and their rep helped me fix this.
